Founder & Owner, Drew Snyder, along with three partners, purchased and developed a single-story office building located in the Woodsonia West neighborhood in Shawnee, KS. This initial real estate venture is what inspired our company name and where Drew’s passion for commercial real estate was born. Now, over a decade later, we have more than 30 assets and multiple large-scale projects underway across the Midwest.

Our team members possess a diverse set of skills and industry expertise, which has resulted in a portfolio ranging from single-tenant commercial buildings to large-scale shopping centers to residential subdivisions & multi-family communities.
Drew embraces the chaos inherent in the real estate industry. Since earning his real estate license in college to investing in real estate throughout the Midwest, Drew’s passion for real estate investment fueled him to the creation of Woodsonia Real Estate, Inc. With over ten years under his belt, Drew is only getting started. Omaha is home for now, but beach runs along the Pacific Ocean are in his future. Watch out West Coast!
Director of Operations
Tanya’s focus at Woodsonia is asset management. She has over 30 years of expertise starting in residential before transitioning to commercial property management. Since joining Woodsonia in 2013, she has been an integral component of the firm’s operations - and its personality. Tanya is dedicated to our client and vendor relationships and thrives on the daily challenges of commercial real estate. When she’s not at the office, you can find her road-tripping to the Black Hills, and someday motor homing all over the U.S.
Jeff was excited to shift roles and explore the developer side of the industry when he joined Woodsonia in 2014. The flexible environment suits Jeff after working as a registered professional engineer. He is extremely involved in the community serving as past president of Sarpy County Economic Development Corporation. Currently, Jeff serves the City of Omaha Urban Design Review Board, ICSC as well as Omaha by Design Technical Advisory Group. Jeff loves spending time with his grandchildren and playing the odd round (or two) of golf.
The entrepreneurial spirit at Woodsonia really appeals to Carson. He purchased his first retail franchise in Montana after spending years in Milwaukee. He acquired seven franchises across the country, where he crossed paths with Drew. Eventually, Carson sold his businesses and returned to his hometown of Omaha joining Woodsonia. When he is not working, Carson enjoys rooting on the Husker’s football team and Marquette’s (sadly, not Creighton’s) basketball team. Carson has plans to venture to the Nebraskan panhandle or even further west to Big Sky Country to fish and enjoy the outdoors.
As a senior commercial property manager, Sarah Svehla is responsible for overseeing Woodsonia’s current real estate properties and future developments. She is well-versed in the customer service side of business, with nearly a decade under her belt, and thrives in the fast-paced environment and collaborative team approach at Woodsonia. When she is not working to ensure the highest level of care for our tenants and clients, Sarah can be found outdoors, camping and hiking nearby in Nebraska or trekking the trails of National Parks (next up: Glacier!). She is also an avid musician, singer and songwriter who leans acoustic in her musical performance tastes.
While earning her law degree, Natalie pursued a concentration in business transactions, which sparked her interest in the real estate world. After years of gaining valuable experience in a diverse array of real estate matters through jobs at residential real estate firms and law firms, Natalie crossed paths with founder, Drew, and joined the team in 2020. Her competitive drive and adaptability come in handy in her role as General Counsel. Fun fact: Natalie has a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Sports Management, and remains an avid sports fan. Natalie also enjoys spending time with her husband, daughters, and Corgis.
Mitch is new to Woodsonia, but he’s not new to the industry. After working with a number of real estate developers in his investment banking, venture capital, and investment management roles, he discovered a new passion for this side of the business. Mitch saw an opportunity to join a tight-knit team and start tackling big developments. He enjoys the challenges bringing a project through to completion and the result of seeing it come to life. Outside of the office, you can find Mitch on the golf course, cheering on the Huskers, or spending time with friends and family.
Michael Kisielewski shares his eclectic academic and 20-year professional history with the Woodsonia team as a property manager. He originally studied psychology and theology in college until he found his way into business, specifically, management and sales. Much of his experience has been in the food and beverage industry, having served as a manager of various departments of HyVee and as a sales representative for two midwestern liquor distributors. With his move to Woodsonia, Michael is happy to add real estate to his areas of expertise. Born in Spain, he grew up in both Biloxi, Mississippi and Stony Brook, New York. Michael has called Omaha home for the past 17 years and in his free time enjoys supporting his children in their interests and traveling to family fan favorite destinations, Disney World and Universal Studios.
Accounting / Administrator
Amy Ortmeier is Woodsonia’s go-to for all things accounting, though in true small firm fashion, she is happy to assist across different areas of the firm’s business. Much of her work history has been within the field of construction, and she is excited to channel this knowledge into the real estate sector. She welcomes the fast pace environment at Woodsonia and the synergy of the team. When she is not crunching numbers at the office, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, especially traveling. Her suitcase is barely stored from one trip before she starts planning their next vacation.
